"The writing is tight, playful, and fun to read aloud. New energetic words abound. I love the Zulu words and how effortlessly they were incorporated. You have a great message and the story behind the story is a powerful one." - Jill Saginario, Pickle Ink Editorial

The XLISP Primer

by Bonnie J. Fladung (Prentice-Hall)

"This book should be of interest to home computer enthusiasts, beginning artificial intelligence devotees, and those interested in comparative anatomy of programming languages."
- Berthold K. P. Horn, M.I.T.

This manual is an introduction to the LISP programming language, with an emphasis on Common LISP, which is becoming the standard used throughout education and industry. This book grew out of an 80-page tutorial that I originally wrote and donated to the Boston Computer Society. An acquisitions editor at Prentice-Hall discovered the popular tutorial, and requested that I expand the contents to fulfill the need for a book describing the increasingly popular language.

"That first manuscript was of such high quality that I have yet to receive any substantive criticisms, although nearly 300 copies have been sold by now. My perusal of the book before you indicates that the same high standard has been maintained in this more formal edition."
- Park S. Gerald, M.D., Director Artificial Intelligence Group, Boston Computer Society
